Mick lobbied for and the legislature eventually passed RTA (Rural Transportation Authority) enabling laws. With the power to create multi-jurisdictional transit systems, he then campaigned with many others to expand RFTA's funding and reach from the upper valley all the way to Rifle.
Supported and campaigned for the valley-wide acquisition of the Denver and Rio Grande Right of Way from Aspen to Glenwood Springs.
