Affordable Housing Record



Served on the housing board and supported and campaigned for the creation of the Real Estate Transfer Tax to fund housing efforts.

Twice helped lead the campaign for the creation of Burlingame housing.

Testified at the legislature in favor of affordable housing legislation that would allow developers to designate additional units as deed restricted.

Joined the BOCC in the acquisition and resale efforts that put Aspen Village, Lazy Glen and Woody Creek mobile homes and lots in the hands of the residents as ownership units.

Voted for creation and funding of the Stillwater project east of town.

Represented the county at presentations on affordable housing throughout Colorado (Steamboat, Summit County, Vail, Denver, Carbondale, Grand Junction, University of Colorado school of business) and in Lake Placid, New York and Ketchum, Idaho.
